Green Systems is developing a technology called “NuGen DeSulf” – A new generation of low temperature regenerable sulfur sorbents for fuel desulfurization. The project is focused on synthesis, testing, and optimization of a sulfur sorbent formulation to remove sulfur in fuel streams. The final phase of the project is focused on “NuGen DeSulf” process design, fabrication and system integration into a client's environment.

- Low temperature sulfur sorbents capable of removing >90% sulfur from hydrocarbon fuel streams
- Sulfur sorbents prepared using naturally occurring supports with periodic nanopores allowing thorough dispersion of sulfur scavenging species
- Mixed metal oxide formulations which can be regenerated make the sorbents economical and environmentally benign
